We can use agile when we can actually implement it for the success of the project, or the nature of the project requires it. Agile should not be used just as a run away from waterfall. We can use agile where the collaboration is highly important for the success of the project, where we have long term goals and no bound on the requirements, and agile can be well utilized where we have great power of either utilizing time as much as we want or resource as much as we want.
